McCain Foods has rolled out its first frozen mashed potato as part of a raft of NPD designed for mid-week dinners.
The microwaveable Mashed Potato, available now, comes in 650g packs containing small frozen pieces that can be heated up in three minutes (rsp: £1.50).
The mash is joined in freezers by four other new products including limited-edition American BBQ Wedges (rsp: £2/750g) and two flavoured fries - Spicy Peri Peri and Steakhouse Ridge Cut (£2.50/750g). McCain Mash Machines (rsp: £1.50/454g) are similar to the brand’s Smiles but shaped as trains, planes, cars and boats.
An improved version of McCain’s Croquettes is also being rolled out.
