New Zealand supplier Silver Fern Farms has extended its exclusive-to-Tesco range of branded lamb products with a new 375g pack of lamb medallions.

The packs, which contain six medallions (rsp: £7) went on sale at an introductory price of £5 in Tesco last week.

Silver Fern Farms said the medallions were about offering convenient and affordable fresh lamb. In the past year, lamb retail prices have risen 16% compared with average inflation of 4.7% across other protein categories [Kantar Worldpanel 52 w/e 18 March].

During the 28 weeks the company’s products have been on sale in the UK, they have been sold on deal 50% of the time.
