Energizer is set launch an on-pack promotion to give shoppers the chance of winning one of 15 Volt e-bikes when purchasing any pack of EcoAdvanced AA or AAA batteries.
Kicking off on 8 June, the push will run for three months, giving away five bikes a month, each worth £1,500. To enter, shoppers must visit the microsite energizer.eu/winanebike and enter the pack’s barcode.
Energizer enjoyed the greatest growth in the batteries category last year, adding £5.4m (11.7%) in value sales last year to £51.5m [Nielsen 52 w/e October 2016]. It launched EcoAdvanced – made with 4% recycled batteries – in 2015.
Following the brand’s Christmas tie-in with the movie The Secret Life of Pets, the latest activity was to push EcoAdvanced’s “longer-lasting performance” while emphasising “environmental sustainability and innovation”, said brand marketing manager Stuart Picton.
