Cow & Gate Little Bowls

The lineup of microwaveable meals comprises six variants

Cow & Gate is aiming to make weaning more convenient with the launch of Little Bowls microwaveable meals for infants aged seven months-plus.

The lineup is a new format for Cow & Gate – meant to be eaten directly from the bowl-shaped packaging – with recipes “to help introduce babies to bold new flavours” during stage two feeding.

The six variants are Artichoke & Carrot Casserole; Creamy Pasta with Spinach; Herby Chicken Casserole; Mashed Potato, Beef & Veggies; One-Pot Pork & Veggies; and Steamed Cod & Veggies (rsp: £1.50). Seasoned with herbs, spices and garlic, they contain no added salt or sugar, and no artificial colours, flavourings or preservatives.

Available now from Asda, Little Bowls had been “designed with parents in mind, the intention being to help them to make the most of family meal times together with their little ones” said Cow & Gate’s head of marketing Sandra Eglau.

“The new convenience format could help parents take the first step to bringing their little ones to the dinner table, where they can feed them delicious new meals directly from the bowl. We hope the new recipes will help parents introduce little ones to a new world of flavours and textures.”

Little Bowls has arrived in stores after Cow & Gate underwent its “biggest-ever” shake-up June, including 15 new variants and fresh packaging “inspired by nature’s colours” with more green in the design and images of ingredients.
