Ilumi, the free-from brand by Symington’s, has launched a range for children under the Disney Kitchen banner.
The new Disney Kitchen Ilumi For Kids lineup comprises 30g porridge pots and 200g meal pots.
The porridge (rsp: 70p) is available in variants including Original, Apple and Raspberry – with no gluten, dairy, sugar or artificial additives. It had been “developed to broaden breakfast options for kids with food allergies” said Symington’s.
The meal pot options – such as Vegetable Risotto, Mild Beef Chilli With Brown Rice and Mini Meatballs With Rice & Tomato Sauce (rsp: £1.99) – are free from dairy and gluten. They are low in fat and count as one of the five a day.

With demand for free-from options growing, there was “a clear opportunity for healthy allergen-free products that kids will love” said Kevin Butterworth, marketing director at Symington’s. “Building on our expertise and market-leading nutritionals, the range is designed to take the stress away from parents planning kids’ meals both in and out of home.”
Disney Kitchen Ilumi For Kids is available now through Asda, and is joined on shelf by the Disney Kitchen Snack Pot (rsp: £1/50g) – instant pasta in Creamy Cheese, Cheese & Tomato and Creamy Chicken. It has also rolled out to Tesco.
“All of the Disney Kitchen affiliated products are trusted by parents and children alike, adhere to strict nutritional guidelines and have convenience at the forefront,” Butterworth said. “So there are some really strong brand synergies with Symington’s.”
