Seed & Bean Chocolate

Ethical chocolate brand Seed & Bean has secured a listing with 200 De Tuinen stores across The Netherlands and Belgium.

Fifteen flavours of the organic, Fairtrade brand went on sale last week, taking its number of export destinations to 12 including Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. Exports now account for around half of Seed & Bean’s sales.

“It’s going to be amazing to see our entire range in all 200 stores – the support from De Tuinen has been incredible ,” said Seed & Bean founder Steve Rudkin, adding total sales were up 300% year on year in the first quarter of 2015 following a rebrand last year to better reflects its green credentials.

Seed & Bean has created three limited-edition bars – Milk Chocolate with Cornish Sea Salt & Lime; White Chocolate Raspberry & Vanilla; and Dark Chocolate with Sicilian Hazelnut for the Glastonbury music festival, which it is partnering for the third year in a row.

Seed & Bean is also developing three new flavoured chocolate bars that will be launched in September: 72% Extra Dark Rose & Vanilla, 72% Extra Dark Fennel & Almond and 37% Milk with Coconut & Lemongrass.
