HubBox

Click & collect service HubBox is adding around 2,000 collection points to its existing 4,500 across the UK by the end of the year.

HubBox provides the click & collect services of retailers such as Oddbins, HMV and Boohoo through a network of collection points including convenience stores, pharmacies and dry cleaners.

The retail tech startup is expanding its network in a new partnership with payments company Epay, which provides terminals at collection points.

Around 90% of the new locations will be convenience stores, according to HubBox. The expansion will target areas where demand is highest, with about 800 of the new locations in London.

HubBox already partners with payments company Payzone in its existing network of collection points.

The tech company’s software links retailers’ e-commerce platforms with its network of collection points and passes delivery instructions to couriers.

Around 100 new retailers have signed up in the past 12 months, according to the three-year-old business, with some of the latest including clothing chains Whistles and TM Lewin and fashion brands Skinnydip and Lavish Alice.

“We’re seeing huge appetite for the service, particularly from young challenger brands who are catering to a millennial audience” said HubBox CEO Sam Jarvis. “These retailers really understand how much their customers value flexibility and control when it comes to delivery. We hope that the additional locations will deliver this value to even more UK shoppers.”

Richard Robertson, managing director of Epay UK, Nordics, Turkey and Russia, said: “We’re excited to be adding HubBox to the growing list of services Epay provides. Our merchants are already seeing the benefits of offering click & collect at their locations, receiving a boost in footfall and attracting new local customers.”
