Huizeling tackles IT

Jan Huizeling has been named as the new chief information officer of European logistics specialist Christian Salvesen. He replaces Tim Mills, who left the company in December. "My aim is to rejuvenate the IT systems at Christian Salvesen and to ensure we create a portfolio of solutions that will benefit the business and our customers," he said.

WSTA recruits board

The Wine & Spirit Trade Association has appointed three new members to its executive board. Peter Jackson, MD of FGL wine estates, Jeff Jamet, MD of Waverly TBS and Jeff Stanton, chief executive of CERT Group will all join the board with immediate effect. "I am delighted to welcome my colleagues from the industry on to the executive board and look forward to working with them," said WSTA chairman Christopher Carson.

Sainsbury's NED

Bupa chief executive Val Gooding has joined the board of Sainsbury's as a non-executive director. Jamie Dundas, who has been a non-executive director of Sainsbury's for six-and-a-half years, is set to step down at the end of this month.

Kerry non-execs

Gerard O'Hanlon, James O'Connell and Michael O'Connor, all of whom are directors of Kerry Co-operative Creameries, have been appointed as non-executive directors of the Kerry Group, replacing James Brosnan, Walter Costello, and Roger Robins, who have retired.

Tookey gets UK

Jackson Wine Estates International's James Tookey is now responsible for the entire UK business in addition to overseeing the company's European sales. His brief will now include managing the relationship with wine agent J.E. Fells and dealing with key customers.
