The business donates 10% of profits to its empowerment fund to enact social change

Food business Two Chicks, which specialises in selling free-range liquid egg whites, has launched a Future Female Entrepreneur (FFE) scheme to support the next generation of talented young women.

The scheme, which launches on 15 June, will give women with entrepreneurial ambitions the opportunity to spend a day with an established female entrepreneur who has created her own business.

Applicants will receive guidance on future goals and insight into creating and running a business.

The Two Chicks founders have established a network of other female-founded businesses who will support the scheme, which currently has over 20 places.

For every purchase of Two Chicks egg white, 10% of profits are donated to the company’s ‘empowerment fund’, which aims to support girls and young women in achieving their potential through schemes such as FFE.

“The female business owners taking part in FFE agree that more needs to be done to support young entrepreneurial women,” said Two Chicks co-founder Alla Ouvarova. “Like us, these business owners have experienced the types of challenges reported in the The Rose Review of Female Entrepreneurship including raising capital, representation and childcare.”

Co-founder Anna Richey said: “[The applications] have been impressive, inspiring and above all have convinced us of the need to back aspiring female entrepreneurs.

“FFE applications are indicative of a generation of females with innovative ideas, a passion for sustainability and a determination to succeed in business.”
