Scotty burger

Morrisons stores in Scotland are expanding their burger offering for the barbecue season with three branded beef burgers from Albert Bartlett’s Scotty Brand.

The burgers come in steak, cracked black pepper and hot & spicy variants (rsp: £3.29 for a 340g two-pack), and are made by Ayrshire butcher We Hae Meat, using PGI-certified Scotch beef. They will hit Morrisons stores in May.

The launch comes after Scotty Brand ran a small trial of the black pepper burgers last October. “We have been working on category expansion for some time,” said brand manager Michael Jarvis.

Scotty Brand was launched by Albert Bartlett in 2010, initially as a potato brand.
