The duo feature a cookie dough core

Ben & Jerry’s is celebrating 30 years of its Cookie Dough ice cream with a duo of Cookie Dough ‘Twists’.

It has unveiled two flavours – Rain-dough and Dough-ble Chocolate – each featuring a cookie dough ‘twist’ centre, with added chunks scattered throughout.

The Rain-dough flavour is made with Fairtrade vanilla ice cream and features a rainbow sprinkled cookie dough core with colourful tie dye chunks, while the Dough-ble Chocolate flavour comprises Fairtrade chocolate ice cream, a chocolate cookie dough core and chocolate chunks.

They launch this month (rsp: £5.49/402g).

Unilever flavour guru Helder Silva billed the NPD “a modern twist on what [shoppers] hold dear” and said it would offer the chance to “expand their dough love with classic and entirely new combinations”.

It comes hot on the heels of the launch of the Cookie Dough Peace Pop – a chocolate-coated ice cream stick with a cookie dough centre.
