Adams Foods is scrapping Kerrygold Spreadable with Olive Oil and replacing it with a new spreadable butter blended with vegetable oil.
The new Kerrygold Spreadable will be available in 400g tubs from the end of this month, priced at rsp: £2.69. It contains 63% butter and 13% rapeseed oil.
Adams launched Spreadable with Olive Oil in June 2011, but said this week it had decided to ditch the product because “consumer research revealed that consumers felt the addition of olive oil did not add any value”.
Adams also makes a Kerrygold Softer block butter and spreadable tub, both of which remain on sale.
