Industry charity GroceryAid has appointed Andy Ward as its new finance director.
Ward, who joined this week, has worked across a wide variety of businesses and organisations in senior commercial and operational finance, audit and governance roles. These include Ernst & Young, AT&T, T-Mobile, Compass Group, Gate Gourmet, Fulham Football Club, Alliance Boots and Christie’s. Ward is also a trustee for Warwick University Students’ Union.
“I’m delighted to be joining GroceryAid at a time it is making great progress in terms of its fundraising activities, awareness work and welfare support for those in need,” said Ward. “I am looking forward to being part of an organisation that focuses on colleagues in need throughout the food and drink industry.”
GroceryAid chief executive Steve Barnes said: “This is a great appointment for us. Andy brings a wealth of experience and skills at an important time in the evolution of the charity.”
