Lindfield has extensive experience in the supply chain and logistics sectors

Oakland International has appointed Glenn Lindfield as its first chairman.

The supply chain specialist has made the previous Cygnia Logistics and Great Bear Distribution CEO its new chairman to support with its next stage of planned growth.

Other senior roles Lindfield has held within the logistics and supply chain sectors include senior VP of Kuehne & Nagel’s North-West Europe business, and MD of ACR Logistics, (formerly Hays Logistics).

“His senior sector experience and operational knowledge will support our next stage of planned growth as we continue to flex and respond to the many new challenges and demands within the fast-moving supply chain arena.

Oakland currently offers an array of D2C, B2C and B2B services, such as contract packing, storage, picking, and food distribution, for brands across the UK and Europe.

This latest appointment is part of Oakland’s larger plans to expand its operations and offer its services to yet more food markets.

The company’s CEO of Contract Logistics, Shaun Foley, said: “Glenn’s appointment as Chairman of Oakland International will further strengthen our sector reputation with his insight assisting our expanding business portfolio and value-added services.”
