Bear Nibbles, the children’s dried fruit snacking brand, is extending its YoYos brand with a sub-range of sour flavours.
Debuting in Tesco this month, the Super Sour YoYo selection will be available in Strawberry & Apple, Mango & Apple and Blackcurrant & Apple variants. Each bar counts as one of your 5 a day.
The NPD, which will roll out to other multiples in March, will come as an individual portion (rsp: 49p/20g) and a multipack (rsp: £2.29/5x20g).
“Children love the fun that’s associated with sour foods and have a higher natural preference towards them, witnessed by the increasing emergence of sour recipes within confectionery,” said Emma Howgego, marketing director at Bear Nibbles.
“As obesity and sugar consumption issues escalate, we’re more and more determined to find solutions that make healthy eating genuinely fun and accessible,” she added.
