The ‘gourmet’ sweets will hit M&S on 30 July

Candy Kittens has put a “modern spin on traditional British sweet flavours” through an exclusive tie-up with M&S.

It has added Rhubarb & Custard, Strawberries & Cream and Lemon Sherbet variants of its “gourmet” gummies. They are vegan and free from artificial colours and flavours.

The sweets are packaged in “bold, colourful” stripy pouches, which were designed to stand out on shelf, according to Candy Kittens.

They will launch into M&S stores nationwide on 30 July (rsp: £2.50/140g).

“We’re so excited to partner with M&S to bring a modern take on classic British flavours,” said Candy Kittens founder Jamie Laing.

“This exclusive range is a celebration of our shared love of quality, innovation, and great-tasting sweets.”

The tie-up with M&S is a departure from Candy Kittens’ most recent innovations, which have been the result of collaborations between its Katjes stablemates.

In April, for instance, Candy Kittens joined forces with Genius to launch a co-branded rocky road. The following month, it brought German confectionery brand Treets to the UK through its new brand platform, Candy Kittens Introduces. Both Genius and Treets are owned by Katjes.

Laing also supported the launch of YouTube influencer Niko Omilana’s confectionery brand Shades in May, through his investment fund Tuckshop London.
