Children’s fruit snack brand Bear has entered the frozen category with a duo of Calippo-style ice lollies.

Called Fruit Squeezers, the range will debut with two flavours: Strawberry & Apple and Mango & Apple.

Made using fruit purée and pure apple juice, Fruit Squeezers are HFSS compliant with no added sugar

They have rolled into Waitrose in multipacks of five (rsp: £3.25/5x60ml). Bear has also secured new listings for its Strawberry & Banana Smoothie Yoyo fruity snacks, which debuted in Tesco in September.

They rolled into Sainsbury’s and Ocado last month, and they are set to hit shelves in Asda in March.

“We have great confidence that Bear Fruit Squeezers will be a hit with families and provide retailers the opportunity to drive additional sales from such a loved and trusted brand,” said marketing director Jo Agnew.

“Following a positive year for the brand, it’s important to us that we continue to innovate and help make the healthier choice simple for busy parents. By updating our range and expanding across categories, we can ensure Bear also helps retailers drive sales among both loyal fans and new shoppers.”

The launch of Fruit Squeezers will be supported by digital and in-store marketing.

It comes after Wall’s last month unveiled Twister Fruit Zingerrr, its first-ever sweet and sour ice lolly, which is also HFSS compliant.
