The brand has created 2,500 of the bottles

I Heart Wines has created a limited edition ‘I Heart Superheroes’ prosecco celebrating “unsung heroes” during the coronavirus crisis.

The Freixenet Copestick-owned brand partnered with personalised gifting firm Intervino to produce 2,500 bottles of the drink, and is asking shoppers to nominate ”their chosen superhero” to receive a bottle.

This could include ”their local postie, shop worker, NHS worker, bin men/women, carer, farmer, delivery driver, a parent that is juggling a job and trying to educate their children, someone who is working from home for the first time and having to adapt, anyone that deserves some recognition”, said the brand.

Winners will be selected on the brand’s Facebook and Instagram pages daily over the fortnight from Monday 6 April.

“In challenging and uncertain times there is a real sense of community and I am proud we are able to utilise our existing personalisation service to do a little something to celebrate those that are making this situation a bit more bearable”, said I Heart senior brand manager Dani McDonald.

It comes months after the brand made its debut in the spirits category with a duo of gins.
