Nurishh has announced two new additions to its range of products, Plant Based Garlic & Herbs Spread and Gran Vegiano

Plant-based cheese alternative brand Nurishh has announced two new additions to its range of products, Plant Based Garlic & Herbs Spread and Gran Vegiano.

The Bel UK brand’s Gran Vegiano comes in a pre-grated format and is dairy and lactose-free and only uses natural colours and flavourings. The brand claims it is also 50% lower in fat than some alternatives. With this offering, Nurishh hopes to tap into consumer demand for cheese alternatives to use in Italian dishes.

The Plant Based Garlic & Herbs Spread is made of sunflower seedsand bamboo fibre insread of coconut oil. It is a source of fibre and protein. Both products are rich in calcium and B12.

“More than two-thirds (68%) of British consumers are considering a transition to a plant-based diet, but taste can be a key barrier,” said Justine de Monès, senior brand manager at Nurishh. “Our delicious and versatile product range has been designed to change that, providing consumers with all the ingredients and inspiration to create great-tasting plant-based dishes for every occasion.

“Not only will the expansive range help our retailer partners meet growing consumer demand, but it’s also a core part of our ambition to diversify with a greater focus on healthy snacking, keeping dairy at the heart of Bel UK as we also develop complementary fruit and plant-based options,” she added.

The new additions join the rest of the Nurishh range including a Plant Based Alternative to Camembert, Mozzarella Style Block, Cheddar & Mozzarella Style Grated Blend and Cheddar Style Slices.

The Gran Vegiano (rsp: £3.50/150g) will be available in Asda from April and Co-op from May. The Plant Based Garlic & Herbs Spread (rsp: £2/130g) will launch in Waitrose in May.
