Tanqueray

The new look packaging was designed by House of Hackney

Tanqueray has unveiled a Christmas gifting set as its first new SKU since signing a partnership with designer fashion and home label House of Hackney.

The brand has launched 250 limited edition gift sets, featuring a House of Hackney-created pattern on the case inspired by “traditional designs dating back to the late 1800s”, it said.

Each gift set features two glasses, a bottle of Tanqueray No. 10 and a recipe for the “perfect party season negroni” and will be exclusively available from 31dover.com (rsp: £59.95).

The new ‘Indienne Citrus’ packaging was intended to pay homage to Tanqueray founder Charles Tanqueray, who travelled Europe in search of fresh citrus fruits to perfect his gin recipe in the early 1800s, the brand added.

“We wanted to partner with a like-minded British brand to produce something beautiful that reflects our London heritage and the unmistakable fresh citrus heart of Tanqueray No. 10,” said head of Tanqueray Europe, Claire McQuattie.

“The Indienne Citrus gift set takes House of Hackney’s signature bold designs and exquisite colours, creating a stunning product perfect for enjoying a negroni at home.”

It comes amid booming popularity within flavoured gins, with an extra 1.6 million additional shoppers entering the category compared with last year.
