Aldi is launching a “voucher support scheme to help families” during the school holidays.

Despite the billing, it is simply Aldi’s latest voucher giveaway competition, with no requirement for entries to be from a parent or family.

To enter, shoppers should submit their name and email address to SummerSupportScheme@aldi.co.uk. Aldi will randomly select seven entrants per week, and give each a £50 digital voucher to spend in any of its UK stores.

Entrants must be GB residents (not Northern Ireland), and the competition runs from 00:01 on 1 July to 23:59 on 31 August. No more than one entry may be made per person.

“The school holidays can put extra pressure on finances, especially when it comes to keeping children fed, entertained and active during the six-week break,” Aldi UK chief commercial officer Julie Ashfield.

“As the UK’s cheapest supermarket, we don’t believe in paying a premium for healthy, quality food and we’ll always do what we can to support parents in making their money go further.”

It is the latest of a string of email-based voucher competitions staged by Aldi this year. In March, it offered the chance to win £100 vouchers by emailing a copy of receipt for a Mamia nappy purchase from one of its stores.
