Bidfood has relaunched its ‘Unlock Your Menu’ industry support hub, providing foodservice businesses with new insights and practical tools.

The hub, developed by Bidfood’s culinary development chefs, features expert tips, practical advice and cost-saving strategies on menu engineering, saving energy, menu profitability, food waste and inflation.

The refresh looks to address issues including increased costs and labour and skill shortages, following recent increases in the national living wage and employer National Insurance contributions in April.

According to NIQ’s Business Confidence Survey in February 2025, just 14% of businesses felt optimistic about the hospitality market, with business confidence at its lowest since October 2022, when inflation was at a 40-year high.

“I am extremely pleased to present our relaunched support hub to the industry,” said Bidfood sector and new business marketing controller Joe Angliss. “We’re more than just a wholesaler at Bidfood, we’re a trusted partner to every single one of our customers across 13 sectors.

“We understand first-hand the challenges our customers face, from rising costs and staff shortages to increasing pressure to operate more sustainably. That’s why we’ve refreshed Unlock Your Menu, giving it a sharper focus and even more tailored advice to help the industry adapt and thrive.”

Angliss added that the relaunch is just the first in a series of updates to the hub, with more expert insights, practical guidance and smart tools to be rolled out.

In February, Bidfood released an “immersive support tool” on its webpage aimed at pub owners and operators.

Named ‘The Interactive Pub’, the platform contains over 50 interactive elements including videos, support guides, recipes, cost-saving tools and advice.
