Bulldog Skincare has upped its suncare game, adding an SPF 50 moisturiser and revamping its SPF 30 line.

The new Anytime Daily UV Moisturiser SPF 50 was “designed for outdoor activity and everyday wear”, said Bulldog. It offered “high-performance sun protection in a lightweight, non-greasy formula to protect skin and leave it feeling moisturised all day”.

Enriched with vitamin E and British marine algae, the NPD’s sweat-resistant formulation made it “ideal for active lifestyles, ensuring skin stays protected even when men are at their most active”, the brand added.

It has also improved its established Anytime Daily UV Moisturiser SPF 30, using an updated blend of UV filters boosted with vitamin C and safflower seed extract “to protect the skin and reduce the ageing effects of sun exposure”.

Now available from retailers including Boots, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Amazon, both products (rsp: £18/75ml) are vegan and cruelty-free. They come in packaging made from 35% post-consumer recycled plastic and 56% plant-based plastic derived from renewable sugarcane.

“With growing awareness of the long-term effects of sun exposure, SPF is essential in helping to protect against skin ageing, sun damage, and the risk of skin cancer,” Bulldog said. “Yet only 8% of men incorporate SPF into their daily routine, highlighting a clear opportunity to improve sun protection habits among this demographic.”

Bulldog brand director James Barnes added: “We’re making it easier for men to protect their skin by offering SPF products made specifically with them in mind. The Anytime Daily UV Moisturisers have been designed to help men confidently add sun protection into their skincare routines, no matter their skin type or grooming habits.”

Growing demand for SPF products saw suncare and skincare challenger Altruist make its Tesco debut in March. Altruist SKUs including SPF 50 Sunscreen 100ml, SPF 50 Family Sun Spray 250ml, and Anti-Redness & Pigmentation SPF 50 50ml rolled into 179 Tesco branches. Altruist SPF 30 200ml landed in a further 74 stores.

The brand’s mission was “to reduce the incidence of skin cancer through the increased use of quality sunscreen, together with better education and awareness”, it said.
