Shaken Udder has launched a high-fibre range of milkshakes as it looks to tackle the UK’s fibre gap.
The milkshakes (rsp: £2.30/330ml) come in two flavours – Mint Choc and Banana – and will launch into Tesco from 13 May.
The Mint Choc SKU contains 8.9g of fibre per bottle – around 30% of the daily recommended amount of fibre for adults. Banana contains 7.6g – around 25% of what is recommended.
They are made with whole milk, real mint extract and bananas, and do not contain artificial colours or flavourings.
With 96% of Brits not consuming enough fibre, the brand said its fibre range aimed to give shoppers a “convenient and delicious way to add more fibre into their diets” in an “easy-to-grab format”.
“Consumer interest in fibre continues to grow and as the UK’s number one premium and fastest-growing milkshake brand, we are bringing something new to the category that still puts quality and taste at the heart of the product with the added bonus of fibre,” said Shaken Udder CEO Rob Reames.
The drinks also provide around 50% of an adult’s recommended daily calcium intake.
