Lipton has revived its hot tea range in the UK after a more than 15-year absence.
The Lipton Teas & Infusions-owned brand has unveiled a five-strong range of blends designed to “turn cold days into colourful moments”.
They are: Peach Paradise, Berry Bliss, Smooth Mint, Mango Passion and Lemon Ginger Refresh.
Recyclable packs have landed in selected Tesco stores, as well as online via Amazon and Ocado (rsp: £2.50/20 bags).
The new Lipton hot tea range offered “a fresh, fruity taste at an accessible price point” and was “designed to broaden the appeal of fruit and herbal teas”, said LT&I.
“We’re not simply entering the fruit and herbal tea space – we’re redefining what it can be,” proclaimed LT&I UK and Ireland CMO Elle Barker. “Crafted with natural ingredients and bursting with vibrant, fruity flavour, these blends are designed to delight both long-time tea drinkers and those who’ve never quite found their fit in the category.
“For anyone who’s ever thought herbal tea was a bit uninspiring, this range offers a fresh, modern alternative – flavourful, accessible, and full of life,” Barker continued. “We believe Lipton Hot will spark new energy in the tea aisle, inviting a broader audience to discover teas that are bold, bright and anything but ordinary.”
LT&I UK and Ireland general manager Jonny Briscoe added: “We’re passionate about growing and evolving the tea category, and we’re delighted to be bringing this iconic brand to the UK.
“This launch is a tribute to our company’s heritage and a fresh step forward, with a vibrant lineup that more than delivers with their bold, mouth-watering flavours.”
It comes with LT&I’s other tea propositions in the UK continuing to suffer declining sales.
PG Tips remains in double-digit value decline, while Pukka has declined by mid-single-digits over the past year [NIQ 52 we 6 September 2025].
In a bid to restore the brand to its former glory, LT&I this year brought back PG Tips’ iconic ‘monkey’ mascot in a TV ad alongside British actor and Rivals star Emily Atack.
