McDonald’s has appointed Lee Homer as its new chief restaurant officer to lead operations across the fast food chain’s restaurants in the UK and Ireland.
Homer brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across retail, hospitality and consumer-facing businesses to the role.
In his latest role at private equity firm Terra Firma Capital Partners, the backer of Food Folk, which is the master franchisee for McDonald’s in the Nordic region, Homer served as chief operating officer for McDonald’s Nordics. He led operations across four markets.
Previously, he held operational leadership roles at Pizza Express and Waitrose.

It comes after former McDonald’s chief restaurant officer Patrick Gerber departed the UK and Ireland business earlier this month to join the fast food chain’s US senior leadership team.
