Mondelez has appointed former Kenvue and Kellanova finance chief Amit Banati as its new CFO.
Due to join on 1 July, Banati will succeed former CFO Luca Zaramella in the role, following Zaramella’s move to become chief operating officer for the group.
The move represents a return to Mondelez for Banati, who served with the company from 2010 to 2012 as its head of strategy for North Asia and Asia Pacific.
Since then, Banati has headed up the finance functions for Kellogg’s – and then Kellanova after the demerger – and at consumer healthcare giant Kenvue, where he worked until May 2026.
Mondelez chair and CEO Dirk Van de Put said Banati’s experience and “strong blend of financial leadership and commercial acumen” would strengthen the group’s leadership team.
“His track record of delivering results and building talent across large, global businesses as a CFO, alongside his breadth of general management and emerging market experience, will provide important perspective to our leadership team,” said Van de Put.
“I look forward to working with him to deliver against our strategic growth agenda.”
Van de Put also thanked Zaramella for his eight-year stint as CFO, adding the group would “continue to benefit from his strong leadership” as COO.
Banati added he was “delighted” to rejoin a company and set of brands he knew well.
“The company has an iconic portfolio, an advantaged global footprint and a talented team. I look forward to working closely with Dirk and the entire team to advance the company’s strategy, achieve its significant growth potential and continue its strong track record of profitable growth.”
