Harvey Nichols has appointed Noel O’Brien as its new fresh food buyer to spearhead the company’s fresh food offering.
O’Brien joins Harvey Nichols from chilled foods wholesaler and distributor Freshfayre, where he was buying and marketing manager for three years.
He has more than 20 years of experience in gourmet food buying, having worked as commercial manager for fresh fish supplier H Forman & Son in London and buying and marketing manager for The Dairy Farm Company in China. A spokeswoman for Harvey Nichols said that in his new role O’Brien will be responsible for driving the company’s fresh food offering.
The company has recently expanded its food market.
Last month it made the fishmonger-cum-restaurant chain FishWorks the fishmonger for its flagship store in Knightsbridge, London.
Harvey Nichols has also appointed Kevin Hadlow as its new food market manager.
