PerfectTed has expanded its range with the launch of a new pistachio-flavoured matcha powder.
The NPD has landed exclusively in Tesco stores (rsp: £9.95/75g). It is both gluten and nut-free, and delivers 43mg of caffeine per 5g serving.
“When we founded PerfectTed, it was because good matcha simply wasn’t accessible,” said PerfectTed co-founder Marisa Poster. “Pistachio Matcha continues our mission to change that. It’s smooth, creamy, and incredibly simple to prepare, giving consumers a delicious matcha moment in seconds.”
It comes with PerfectTed continuing to dominate the fast-growing matcha category in both retail and foodservice.
In grocery, PerfectTed now holds more than 50% of the total share of the category by value, and has been responsible for 73% of growth in the past year [IRI 52 we 2 November 2025].
In foodservice, meanwhile, PerfectTed supplies the likes of Caffè Nero, Joe & the Juice, Blank Street and Black Sheep coffee with matcha. It has also partnered with Waitrose to sell matcha lattes in the chain’s in-store cafés.
PerfectTed launched in 2021 with a range of matcha green tea energy drinks and quickly won listings with Tesco and Holland & Barrett.
Its product lineup now includes matcha powders, sachets, pods and RTD matcha lattes, stocked by the likes of Ocado and Morrisons.
The brand was valued at around £140m as part of a recent fundraise which saw it sell a minority stake to London-based VC firm Felix Capital.
