Organic tea brand Pukka Herbs has added two new fruit and herbal teas.
Night Time Apple Chai and Citrus Yerba Mate & Green Tea have landed via Waitrose, Ocado and Holland & Barrett (rsp: £4.99/20 bags). Night Time Apple Chai is also in Tesco.
Their launch would give retailers “two new products that meet fast‑rising consumer needs and support category growth”, said Pukka Herbs supplier Lipton Teas & Infusions UK & Ireland.
Night Time Apple Chai, a blend of apple, chamomile and cinnamon, was designed to “naturally relax you as you get ready for bed”, according to LT&I.
Meanwhile, Citrus Yerba Mate & Green Tea is made from green tea, yerba mate and guarana. It would help drinkers “feel ready to take on the day with every sip”, LT&I said.
Fruit & Herbal teas were now worth £143.3m, with sales up 4.3% year on year, the supplier noted, citing NIQ data. Meanwhile, functional drinks are now worth £223m, with sales up 86% vs 2021 [Worldpanel by Numerator, 2026].
Both the new blends had been developed to “help retailers tap into these growth areas [by] offering flavours and benefits that attract younger, wellness‑motivated shoppers”, LT&I added.
“From better sleep to digestion and calm, our blends are crafted to fit seamlessly into busy lives while delivering exciting, trend-led flavours,” said LT&I UK & Ireland GM Jonny Briscoe. “These latest launches offer retailers a strong opportunity to tap into growing shopper interest in natural, beneficial and nourishing health and wellness products.”
The NPD will be supported within Pukka’s wider ‘Nothing Beats Nature’ campaign across PR, social, influencer activity and digital channels.
