Edinburgh-based snack bar supplier Stoats has launched a duo of colourful snack bars inspired by Wicked’s main characters.
Enchanting Apple & Blueberry and Magical Berry Fusion (rsp: £2.50/3x30g) are exclusive to Tesco for several weeks, listed on an introductory Clubcard Price of £1.75.
Both are HFSS-compliant, and made with wholegrain oats, crisped rice and real fruit.
They are inspired by the main characters in Wicked, witches Elphaba and Glinda. As such, Enchanting Apple & Blueberry is green and Magical Berry Fusion is pink.
The innovations are the result of a partnership between Stoats and Universal Products & Experience, in anticipation of the theatrical release of Universal Pictures’ Wicked: For Good on 21 November.
“We are excited to be partnering with UP&E on such a landmark cultural moment and equally thrilled that Tesco has come on board as our exclusive launch partner for this special collaboration,” said Stoats director Olivia Stone.
“These limited-edition packs let fans of the film add a touch of wonder to their snacking, whether at school, at work, or on the go.”
Stoats isn’t the only fmcg brand that has innovated to capitalise on the release of the Wicked films.
Ordo has unveiled a four-strong range of toothbrushes inspired by the franchise. It comprises Ordo’s established Sonic Lite model (rsp: £44.99) and new Sonic Edge (rsp: £24.99), each in Glinda and Elphaba designs.
Last year, Robinsons launched two limited-edition squash variants inspired by Elphaba and Glinda, Amazafying Citrus Twist and Outstandiful Berry.
