Superdrug has rolled out delivery via Just Eat to 329 of its stores across the UK.
“Superdrug launching on Just Eat means customers can now get their beauty essentials conveniently delivered on demand, whenever their glam doesn’t go to plan,” said Caroline Bates, grocery and retail director at Just Eat.
“We’re always looking at how we can make everyday moments easier and show up for our customers when it matters most,” Bates added.
The health and beauty retailer struck an exclusive partnership with the aggregator app in November last year, with the ultra-fast delivery of more than 8,000 products, including beauty, fragrance, babycare and medicine, from an initial 29 stores.
That trial came after Superdrug found itself “the most searched high street retailer on Just Eat yet to join the platform”. It said it was “directly answering customer demand” with the launch.
Superdrug on Just Eat offers thousands of SKUs – including Superdrug’s own-brand beauty and health ranges as well as leading brands – spanning 43 categories.
The retailer and delivery platform is promoting the nationwide launch with a “new service delivering make-up artists direct to people’s doors” it has dubbed ‘glam in a jam’.
In partnership with viral online make-up artist CC Clarke, customers in London and Manchester will be able to book one-on-one sessions on Friday and Saturday this week.
She will give them a 45-minute makeover in their homes using products from Superdrug that are available via the Just Eat app.
Consumer research by Just Eat highlights the need for speed among many beauty product purchasers. Nearly half (46%) admitted they panic when they realise they have run out of an essential product while getting ready. Over a third (39%) of Brits admitted they frequently experience cosmetic mishaps, and one in 10 (13%) even cancelling a long-awaited night out due to a cosmetic mishap.
