Emma Knowler has been promoted to UK HR director at Birds Eye Iglo Group. Knowler joined the company a year ago and moves up from the role of senior HR business partner. She replaces Brian Murray, who has been promoted to European HR director.

Paolo Tanara is the new president of the Parma Ham Consortium, which oversees brand protection and promotion for 164 Parma Ham producers. Tanara is executive vice president of the Tanara Giancarlo company.

Heinz-Jürgen Bertram has been appointed CEO of flavours and fragrances manufacturer Symrise. He replaces Gerold Linzbach, who is leaving the company for personal reasons in October.

Morrison McAllister, a former director of the Northern Ireland FSA, has been awarded an OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours. Dr Helen Raine was also awarded an OBE for services to the agrifood industry.
