Nestlé Health Science has appointed Gordon Yule as MD for UK and Ireland.

Yule will be responsible for the business’ operations and its portfolio of products across medical nutrition and vitamins, minerals and herbal supplements.

Yule replaces Nigel Bathurst, who left the business to launch his own consultancy in January.

Yule has 20 years’ experience in the food & drink and pharma sectors. Prior to his appointment at Nestlé, he was senior commercial director for the UK, Ireland and Iberia at The Bountiful Company – a US vitamins and sports nutrition manufacturer, which was acquired by Nestlé in April 2021.

He “significantly expanded” distribution and penetration of Solgar and launched Nature’s Bounty during his time at The Bountiful Company, said Nestlé.

Prior to that, Yule worked for Red Bull for nearly eight years in various sales roles. He has also held sales and marketing roles at Anheuser-Busch and Beam Global Spirits & Wine.

Yule said he was “very excited to take on responsibility for Nestlé Health Science in the UK and Ireland and its amazing brands like Optifast, Peptamen, Vital Proteins, Minami”.

It was “really rewarding to continue to make a difference to people’s lives by offering nutrition solutions, whether that be specialist tube feeds or vitamins and supplements that enhance the quality of life”, he added.
