The aim of the new position is to strengthen the buying group’s head office team in Macclesfield, Cheshire

Caterforce has appointed Iain Julier as its trading controller.

He takes up the newly created role with more than 26 years of purchasing experience in retail, wholesale and foodservice, having previously worked at Booker Wholesale, Iceland and Tassal, specialising in fresh and frozen fish buying.

The aim of the new position is to strengthen the buying group’s head office team in Macclesfield, by working with key stakeholders to develop and implement category plans, hit commercial targets, and deliver its buying strategy.

“I am delighted to be part of the central buying team at Caterforce,” said Julier. “The group has been going through a strong period of growth recently with two new members joining last year and ongoing investment in technology it feels like a really exciting time to join.”

Caterforce MD Gary Mullineux said: “We are thrilled to welcome Iain to the Caterforce team. Julier’s induction started on 14 March.
