The brand is pursuing 300% growth in the year ahead

Eco-friendly household cleaning and laundry brand Wilton London has made a trio of senior appointments as it pursues a 300% growth target over the next year.

Josh Carpenter, formerly supply chain manager at Innocent, joins the B Corp startup as head of supply chain. He joins after more than three years at the smoothie brand, and has previously worked as a market analyst for Boots. Emma Plewes, previously national account manager at Cheeky Panda, has also joined the company in the same role and Celeste Hartley, formerly brand manager at plant-based alternative brand Oggs, is Wilton London’s new brand manager.

The appointments come after a £500k, oversubscribed crowdfund to support the business’s mission to “clean up on the household aisle” with its premium range. The company values itself at £4m has attracted investment from green hedge funds, and angel investment from startup and investment experts.

“With our fundraise complete, and the right team now in place we are ready to accelerate into a category that is experiencing substantial growth and ultimately make Wilton into a UK household name,” said co-founder Mike Perry.

Currently, products are sold via its “15,000-customer strong” DTC platform, as well as on Ocado, Amazon, Booths and Lakeland. The brand is targeting “a major supermarket listing” and “further penetration of health and independent stores”.

“I have always wanted to work for a startup and the opportunity to work on a creative brand like Wilton that is growing rapidly really stood out to me,” said Carpenter. “I’m excited to be part of the team and to work alongside them to drive the business through its next stage of growth.”
