Pilgrims Choice and Kerrygold owner Ornua Foods UK has appointed Stuart Stanley as its new finance director.
Stanley - featured in The Grocer Dairymen supplement’s Dairy’s Got Talent feature last year - has been promoted from the role of commercial finance manager, where he played a significant part in the development of Ornua Foods UK’s relationships with key customers, as well as supporting the long and short-term planning for Pilgrims Choice and Kerrygold, the dairy co-op said.
He joined the supplier in 2014 after a two-and-a-half-year spell as senior finance manager at Boots, and started his career at Phones 4u. Stanley attended the University of Leeds and achieved a BSc in mathematics with finance.
Stanley will take on the role of Bill Hunter, who stepped up from chief financial officer to the newly created role of Ornua Foods UK MD just before Christmas.
“Since joining Ornua Foods UK in 2014, Stuart has made a significant contribution to the development of the business and I am delighted that he will now be taking up the position of finance director,” Hunter said.
