The industry is mourning the loss of Jim Corfield, a well-known buyer who died last week at the age of 61 after losing his battle against cancer.

Corfield had been working as a grocery buyer at Partridges The Grocers since 2006. He was also a buyer for Fortnum & Mason, Harvey Nichols and Harrods.

“Jim was very well respected both for his knowledge but also his manner and professionalism,” said friend and colleague Stuart Gates.
