North Downs Dairy is planning a major sampling campaign for Pilgrims Choice Mini Portions this year to capitalise on the demand for snacking cheese.

Some 10 million taster samples would be distributed to consumers, said the company, adding that a new listing had been won with The Co-operative Group for the 20g portions.

“Retailers need new products and variants to support increased demand for snacking on the go,” said marketing manager Hannah Fordred. “By providing the right format, we are meeting this demand and helping retailers to grow the category.”
