Wadworth 6X beer has been earmarked for an unprecedented £1m media support by its Wiltshire-based brewer.
The 12-month budget will fund a press and poster campaign which breaks in May using various puns linking the brand's name to sex.
The first in the series will feature the tagline 6X appeal', and will be followed with 6X therapy' and Group 6X'.
The London Underground and sites in Birmingham, Bristol and Southampton have been selected for the outdoor push while print ads will also appear in the weekend supplements of national papers and the Radio Times.
