Stephensons dairy free range milk

The Booths’ listing follows growing popularity of free-range milk in general

Free-range milk supplier Stephensons Dairy has secured listings in 24 Booths stores for its Pasture Promise-accredited milk.

Whole and semi-skimmed Pasture Promise-accredited free-range milk will be available in store from 1 July in one-litre cartons (rsp: TBC).

The listing follows the growing popularity of free-range milk, which led The Midcounties Co-operative to expand a trial of Cotteswold Dairy free-range milk to more than 50 stores two weeks ago.

Asda increased listings of Free-Range Dairy Farmers milk by almost 200 stores in March after sales of the milk exceeded expectations, while Morrisons recently started selling free-range milk supplied by local brand Our Cow Molly in its stores in Sheffield.

“Booths already supports dairy farmers in our region by paying the highest farmgate price on our Booths Brand milk,” said dairy buyer Alan Kirby. “Stephensons Dairy gives customers’ additional choice in the dairy aisle.”

Stephensons Dairy director chris Stephenson added: “We offer consistent high quality free range milk that puts money directly back into the local economy. We work in collaboration with our farmers and processor ensuring that we have full knowledge of where the milk comes from and what happens to it from field to fridge.”
