As the song goes, nobody does it better. It makes you feel sad for the rest

With Tesco looking likely to pass the 30% UK market share mark next year, its growth appears unstoppable both at home and overseas, where it maintains a strong hold on the global market.
This year saw it claim a record 29.1% of the market, according to AC Nielsen, and more recently it saw a rise of 9.8% for its third quarter like-for-like sales.
Internationally Tesco reported a greater rise in sales for this period at 12.2%, as it announced plans to open a further 1.4 million sq ft of selling space across the world over the next few months.
Its global power is expected to increase rapidly and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see it overtake Metro and Ahold to take third position in the global grocery retail league in the next few years.
In fact, its global sales have been predicted to mushroom from its current £30.8bn to £58.9bn by 2010, according to a recent report from IGD.
