Waitrose and Tesco are next week expanding their craft beer ranges.

Yorkshire’s Saltaire Brewery is rolling out its 4% abv Saltaire Blonde - “a refreshing beer with soft malt flavours” - to 84 Waitrose stores.

Saltaire last month installed new fermentation facilities, expanding its brewing capacity by 30%. “We’ve been supplying Waitrose regionally but our first national supermarket listing is a very significant win,” said Saltaire MD Tony Gartland.

Tesco, meanwhile, is exclusively launching the Revisionist range of bottled beers created by Marston’s. The seven-strong line-up includes a Belgian Saison and a Red ale made with hops from the South Pacific.
