Winner: Nairn’s Apple & Cinnamon Oats Your Way
Described as appetising, inviting and moreish, these gluten-free Apple & Cinnamon oats from Nairn’s really hit the spot with our judges, who loved that they provided greater variety for consumers following a gluten-free diet. Launched in May 2021, the brand cleverly focused on versatility in formulating the product too, with a consistency that allows them to be heated up on the hob for porridge, left overnight for ‘overnight oats,’ added to a smoothie bowl or used as a gluten-free baking ingredient. Read fruit pieces add crunch too. Already one of the first to add these sorts of flavour combinations to this subsection of the free-from category, Nairn’s says it’s also now working on a Blueberry flavour.
Nairn’s new offering of porridge went down a storm with our judges. Gluten free shouldn’t be boring or bland and Nairn’s have proven this with this apple and cinnamon flavouring. Not too sweet and a nice crunchy texture from the apples, left judges wanted more. A good price point for a quality product.
