At least 70% of Finsbury Food Group's range hit by a fire last month at its United Central Bakeries site in Scotland should be back in full supply by the end of the month.
Arrangements have been made to transfer or out-source production of Christmas cakes, bread rolls and potato scones elsewhere and an alternative supplier for its Yum Yum's cakes would be found by the end of the month, the group said.
“Initial indications lead us to believe that the site should be back in full operation from April 2007,” added Dave Brooks, group chief executive of Finsbury Food Group.
