Lynne Coyle, head buyer at Oddbins, is leaving the company at the end of the month.
Coyle joined Oddbins 18 years ago, working for Oddbins stores in Edinburgh before becoming area sales manager for the Thames Valley.
She then joined the buying department as assistant buyer, rising to the position of head buyer in 2001. The drinks retail chain said that it was searching for a replacement for Coyle and was considering both internal and external candidates.
Last September, buyers Grant Ramage and Tony Allen left Oddbins together with several other head office personnel.
Meanwhile, Oddbins owner Castel Freres has appointed Anne Burchett as the first managing director of its wine company Castel UK.
Burchett has 20 years’ experience in the UK wine trade, most recently as marketing manager of Grands Chais de France, which supplies the JP Chenet brand.
She said that she was “thrilled to be joining such a dynamic and forward-thinking business at a critical time”.
