Energizer marked the launch of EcoAdvanced, its new battery made from 4% recycled materials, by building a working replica of the Tower Bridge from batteries.

Constructed from 83,000 used batteries and weighing two tonnes, the sculpture is 12 metres long, four metres wide, and is timed to open and close at the same time as the London landmark. Once dismantled, the batteries will be recycled.

Energizer launched EcoAdvanced, which it claimed to be the world’s first high-performance cells made with recycled batteries, in June.
