Premium sausage brand Heck has responded to demand for healthier options by expanding its chicken range into meatballs.
The meatballs (rsp: £4/340g) rolled out to 2,100 Tesco stores this week, and are initially available in one flavour - Italia, made with mozzarella, tomato & basil.
Two other varieties, Zesty and Chorizo, will be added to the range in the spring, with further flavours planned later in the year. Heck’s chicken sausages and burgers, already available in Italia, will also be offered in the two flavours.
“I don’t think anyone has produced premium chicken products in this category before,” said Heck co-founder Debbie Keeble.
