Musgrave España is important to us

Sir, I am writing in regard to 'The new foreign legion' (16 July).

The statement that "Musgrave has shown no interest in emerging markets and is even withdrawing from the mature market of Spain" is incorrect. Musgrave continues to review any opportunity in and outside of our current trading areas.

Musgrave España operates 17 cash & carries and a wholesale and retail partnership to 142 independent retailers in the Alicante region. We are dedicated to developing our brands and growing the business organically or through acquisition.
