Tesco has opened two new in-store cafés.

It launched a Fred’s Food Construction food counter at its Express store on Philpot Lane, London, on Monday (1 September).

The counter is modelled on a New York-style deli, providing hot breakfast, porridge, pastries and lunch sandwiches in the morning, and tea and coffee throughout the day. Tesco has also launched a delivery service for Fred’s to nearby offices for orders of at least £25.

It is the second Fred’s after the concept was first launched at its Osterley store earlier this year.

Also on Monday, Tesco launched a new non-branded, French-style café at its Bar Hill store, near Cambridge.
